Passenger Pigeons is a song about the resurrection of long-suppressed thoughts and feelings in response to a star-crossed, serendipitous encounter and rekindling of passions.
The majority of the song alternates between Amaj7 and Emaj7, switching to F#m7 and G#m7 in the second half of the third verse before the final chorus.
The instrumental chorus may take a variety of forms, but it is generally imagined for a horns section or solo guitar.
